There are two major sects of Protestant Christianity; Calvinist and Armenianist. There also two equal opposing errors: 1. God condemns or predestines some for Hell. 2. You can loose your salvation once you acquire it. I have found absolutely nowhere in the Bible, (and I have read the Bible all the way through at least 10 times), any verse that says in plain language that God predestines any for Hell. In fact that idea that God predestines some for Hell runs counter to a very familiar verse-John 3:16- "For God so love the world that have His only begotten Son, that who so ever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." Those words of Christ are very inclusive of absolutely everyone. A strict Calvinist might say that only applies to the elect; well don't you believe it! Neither have I found any where in the Bible that states you can loose your salvation once you acquire it. In fact the Bible says that God is able to save to the utmost-see Hebrews 7:25. The point of that verse being that God can save completely. The idea of losing one's salvation cast God as a very impotent God, and that folks is committing a blasphemy when you believe that God is impotent!
This is a good start and I might talk about it more in later post. What motivated me to write this was the common wrong beliefs and errors that non-Christians believe, primarily that God is in the business of condemning people to Hell and that He takes great delight in it. I can assure that God takes absolutely no delight when a soul is lost in Hell for ever and I can prove it. See Ezekiel 18:32. The Bible does talk about God recompensing them according to their deeds- see Ezekiel 7: 3,8, 27. I am not certain (don't quote me on this part), but that would hint or imply that God will judge people by their own failed standards.
