politics

Since this is election season, I wanted to paraphrase some Karl Marx's goals. To achieve a Socialistic Dictarorship these 3 things had to happen: 1. Eliminate all private property rights. (Emminent domain seizures). 2.Dissolve the family unit.(Divorce and the redefining of marriage). 3. Destruction of religon. (Marginalizing of Christianity and stripping it of any legal status.). The things I put in parenthesis was to show current real-life examples of America;s continual slide to Socialism.
Why do I start with Marx? Because the two major canidates are both globalist and Socialist in their outlook and goals. (that means subversion of American interest). You will be voting for a personality, the party platform will show little difference as they work out their plan for America. America has been steadily creeping towards socialism (were government has more say so and control in matters, even private matters).
(McCain a Republican you say?? Want to to guess how many times he voted with the Deomocrats on various bills?). If McCain was a real Conservative, he would bring our boys and girls home. (Remember what Washington said about no foreign entanglement?). A real Coservative would close all those millitary bases, and have our guys guard our borders.
I could go and talk about the skeletons that McCain and Obama have in their closets; (and believe me they are ugly!). By instead I want you to check out some books to read. One is called "A Choice Not An Echo" by Phylliss Shlafley and "None Dare Call It Conspiracy" by Allen and Abraham. Both books will inform you about government and the election process in ways that you thought of. (I want to warn you that such reading might make you very uncomfortable! So keep an open mind when you read this stuff, OK?).
There is so much to say and I know I didn't do the topic justice!

Rapture, is it in the Bible?

Is the word 'rapture' in the Bible? No, the word rapture is not in the Bible. However, (This is important, don't miss this!), the concept that is behind the word rapture is very much in the Bible.
Look at IThessalonians 4:16-17, particularly verse 17. You will see the phrase 'caught up together with them in the clouds'. The original Greek rendering is much stronger than the English. The idea is that Christians will be snatched up very fast, very quickly, with irresistible force. That sounds like a rapture to me! Let me give you a few other verses that support the idea of being snatched up quickly, OK? There is ICorinthians 15:52 which talks about a radical and sudden, and very quick change. How about Genesis 5:24, were Enoch is taken away suddenly into God's presence? See Hebrew 11:5 also. We can't forget IIKings 2:11 were Elijah is taken into heaven suddenly. (That sounds like a rapture concept to me!).
No, the word rapture is not in the Bible, but neither is Baptismal pool or P.A. system! One could draw many lessons from this, however I will try to keep it short and simple: Let the Bible interpret the Bible rather than weak logic, (like arguments from silence). Also don't let popular thought guide you even if it supposedly 'Christian'. Remember the flat earth concept was once a very popular thought!

update

I've had computer problems which prevented me from posting, but as you can see I am back at it! I have pondered whether to post a picture of myself, and the conclusion I came to was that I would drive readers away if I posted a picture of myself! Yuck!
