I just got done reading the slave narrative of Frederich Douglas-it is reading I recommend for anyone! Why? Because Douglas talks about the various means of control that were exercised on Black Slaves. And some of those methods are still used today; particularly the control of information. You see during the slave days the Slave Owners kept the Blacks ignorant and illiterate. The idea was if you can control the information, you can control the people. Such a method has worked before. The Catholic Church had banned the laity from reading the Bible in the past. (This is a historical fact; if you want more information on that contact me. ) The Catholic Church would not allow the laity to interpret the Bible either! While such strictness is not currently in the Catholic Church, such a spirit of supremacy (they think that they are one true church), and control still exist. (Deference in Bible interpretation is given to the Bishop/Priest.). Many think that the Catholic Church is just another of Christianity-it isn't and I will cover much more in a later blog. Control is not just in realm of churches either. Want to guess how much of the nighly news you don't see or read? Your history book that you read in school has also been severely edited too! Many times text books portray history in purely economic terms. (e.g. Many think the Colonies revolted from England because of "taxation without representation". Actually that was only one of many reasons for the colonial revolt. Other reasons include: Judges making laws on the bench, kidnapping and forcing men to serve in the millitary, ect.). Now you know why history is such a boring subject! (Because you haven't heard it all!).
To close: I am fellow dedicated to truth. I am dedicated in finding out what is true about history, news, Christianity; well everything! So many lies have permeated our culture that I could go on for a long time! I am concerned that real Christianity is being obscured by groups like the Emmergent and Catholic churches. Want to be a truth seeker with me?
To publish some thoughts, subjective or otherwise; to paint a picture of what real Christianity is like and in the process perhaps expose fakes, flawed ideas and counterfeits.

what it's about
Here is a link to a music video that is well down and loaded with meaning:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-9-8L5IVwQ
The song is "Once and For All" by White Heart. The pictures in the video are taking from the Gibson movie "The Passion..."
No I am not Catholic but the song does convey the idea of why Christ came to Earth. To open wide the gates and invite all to come to a complete and saving knowledge of Jesus. That implies that so many have an incomplete knowledge of Jesus is and the purpose that He served on the cross.
I often see music as a powerful vehicle to convey thoughts, ideas, and sentiments. What makes music so powerful is how it stays in your memory. If you don't believe me just think of all the commercial jingles/songs that you can remember line-by-line. Give this song a listen and tell me what you remember about it,OK?
