thoughts on God

It is a total shame and an abdication of reason and logic when the average human who would be expected to treat any other person with consideration and respect doesn't apply the same considerations when dealing with God. Let me try to explain myself:
If we made a habit of ignoring other people around us then sooner or later that other person would have every right to call us a callous jerk or rude. If someone was sending me gifts with great frequency and regularity and I don't even say 'thank you' then you would have the right to call me 'heartless ingrate'. Well guess what? We as humans ignore God with great regularity, and we expect Him not to notice or act on it? The average human would be offended at such behavior directed towards them, why shouldn't God be upset when He is ignored daily? To get the gist of what I'm saying, go for walk on a busy day. On your walk talk to no one, don't acknowledge any one's presence around you at all. Don't look at anyone when you go on your walk. Make sure you bump into people without apologizing at all. Do you get the picture? We are bumping into God (in a figurative sense) and flaunting our rudeness towards Him by ignoring Him.
Now about being thankless when it comes to receiving gifts: Did you know that your life is a gift from God? (How much did you pay for your life? If you can show me the receipt that shows how much you paid for your life, I'll shut up!). Your family is also a gift from God. Let's see, what else? Your taste, your walking, your health, your sight, ect. , are all gifts from God. So when are you going to thank Him?
You see those common sense rules that we use when we're involved with other people go out the window when God is involved. (This is a manifestation of sin folks.). We ignore Him, and become surprised that He is grieved. We curse Him to His face, and yet act surprise that we make ourselves candidate for Hell. (Think of Hell as the total absence of God's presence. Trust me, it is not pretty!).
Here is the good news folks: You can make yourself right with God by accepting what Jesus Christ did on the cross in place of your offences! In other words, Christ took all your offenses on Himself so that you can become acceptable towards God rather than an offense. God wants no one to perish; but because He is a just God, He will not tolerate sin either.
