the journey

Let the journey of life be as pleasant as possible. Let it have as few bumps in the road as possible. Let not religious convictions be an issue, or even so named. Let the most important thing in life be pleasure. Let a persons feelings be elevated to kingship. Keep death from all discussions; let not the word 'death' be uttered until the last breathe. Make his trivial pursuits seem loaded with grand purpose. If the traveler does not discover his real purpose in life, it is all the better to our advantage! If this traveler does discover his real purpose in life, then let the mundane daily cares distract him to the point that he serves no godly use. The inspiration for this piece is sort of a paraphrase drawn from 2 books: "The Screwtape Letters" by C.S. Lewis, and "Screwtape Writes Again" by Walter Martin.
